I'm sorry I didn't see this earlier. I hear ya on the 'too angry to eat' thing. I have to leave the room when McCain speaks because he infuriates me. I cannot believe that people like this guy; when someone in his rally yelled that Obama was a Terrorist, McCain waited for the laughter--laughter to die down then continued. Never called the guy on it! When Palin was speaking about that one guy whose name slips my mind who wanted to perform terrorist activities when Obama was frickin' EIGHT, some yells 'Kill Him' and Palin says nothing about that. Is it just me or does that sound like something a Radical Islamic Fanatic would shout?
A few days ago-- and I wish I had a better memory for details-- a man went into a convinience store to by a cellphone top-up card while wearing an Obama t-shirt, the one with Obama's image and 'Believe' written on it, nothing controversal. Another shopper spotted the shirt and started RAVING at the poor man, telling him to go outside and just behaving hysterically. The Obama-shirt man didn't leave, waited 'til the Raving-man left before finishing his transaction and heading to his car. Raving-man was waiting for him, with a gun. Shot the Obama-shirt guy three times-- and thank gods it was a pellet gun, not a revolver or other strong firearm. Obama-shirt drove to a safer area to call for help.
I don't know how this incident has been resolved, or if it has been resolved yet. But what I want to know is how things have come to a point where it's DANGEROUS to wear an Obama shirt. Or why the police weren't called when Raving man started to rave? Or why I myself felt nervous when I bought an Obama rally sign and walked to my car with it. Why has America come to the point where showing your support for one candidate or another has become something that people can get shot over?
I need to talk to my aunt about that house in Spain my cousin has. If McCain wins, it shan't be vacant much longer.
