The trouble with NPR
So my clock radio is set on an NPR station for the morning alarm. Normally this means you either wake up to a soothing droning Garrison Keillor-type NPR voice or to something classical and orchestral. I usually find this much preferable to waking up to any of the Top 40 stations and howling and electric guitars and drum-banging.
However, the one problem with NPR is that sometimes what you get on the radio wheel-of-fortune roulette is a John Phillips Sousa march six inches from your head.
I was both awake and shaking in less than 3 seconds, but I'm hoping luck-of-the-draw comes up with Garrison Keillor tomorrow...
